Our newly built family owned and operated cabins are located on La. Hwy. 1, approximately six miles from the main bridge.  Situated near the end of the island, these cabins provide for a very peaceful and relaxing environment that anyone can enjoy.

Our cabins come in two sizes which accommodate four to seven people.  The larger cabins include two full size beds and three twin size beds.  The smaller cabins include one full size bed and two twin size beds.  All cabins include a sofa, table and chairs, TV, full-size refrigerator/freezer, kitchenettes stocked with dishes and silverware, a/c-heater, shower, towels and sheets.  Picnic tables, barbecue pit, and swings are located downstairs for your enjoyment.

In less than a minute, you can have a leisurely stroll to the beach where you can enjoy tanning, bird-watching, sleeping or reading that great book compliments of our friendly library.   Surf fishing, crabbing, building sand castles or sculptures, floating on air mattresses or just enjoying our beautiful sunrises or sunsets are a few of the things enjoyed on our seven mile long beach.  You can also visit our historic 100+ year old homes located down our shaded lanes.  Bird watching is also enjoyed for migrating songbirds during the fall and spring migrations.  A pirogue, a kayak, or a canoe can take you to bay areas of the island rarely seen by most where you can fish or enjoy bird watching.  There are two tennis courts located on the island and a miniature golf course.  The Grand Isle State Park has a fishing pier and a look out tower that has a magnificent view of Fort Livingston (where the pirate Jean Lafitte hid his treasures), trawlers hauling in their catch of the day and many porpoises playing among the surrounding waters.  You can also fish on the "Old Fishing Bridge" that is free and open year-round.

You may wish to visit one of our fine restaurants where the seafood is caught fresh daily and served with Grand Isle hospitality or perhaps you would prefer to prepare it yourself in the convenience of your own cabin.  Whether you dine in or out, Grand Isle's seafood is something to be enjoyed.

We want you to enjoy your visit so you will want to come again and again.  So call now to reserve your cabin at (504) 787-3753  or email us at handm@grand-isle.com.
